Elissa Freer

Elissa is an alumna of Stuartholme school. She graduated in Dentistry with Honours from the University of Qld in 1988 and went on to complete her specialist orthodontic training there in 1997. She is an active member of the Australian Society of Orthodontics (ASO) and the ASO Research Foundation and international orthodontic associations (WFO, AAO).

Her areas of interest include Sleep Disordered Breathing (snoring) in Children and Adults. She is a lecturer in orthodontics at the University of Qld and is an instructor and examiner on the Post-Graduate Orthodontic training program. Her mentors include Dr Rick Olive and Dr Bob James both former Brisbane Orthodontics partners.

She is currently involved in research projects on the accuracy of Invisalign treatments and the effect of babies positioning on developing malocclusions.

Her interests include fishing and exploring Fraser Island, bushwalking and bird watching.
